2012 Annual Golf Tournament (TIME TO MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR GOLF)

Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the East Pointe Golf and Racquet Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida (same site as last year) at 13462 Crosspointe Dr., Palm Beach Gardens Fl 33418. $85 per person. Scramble format shotgun start at 9:00 am, prizes for lowest scoring team, longest drive, closest to pin including the ever popular Gator toss. Register by June 20th. Check in time 7:30 to 8:30am. Lunch included at the golf club house. $20 charge for non golfers to attend lunch. Free range balls. Send registration form (see below that is attached) and make checks payable to UT Alumni Association, c/o Terry Condon, 18030 Clearbrook Circle, Boca Raton, Florida 33498 or call Terry at 561 302 9873 or email him at kandtcondon@bellsouth.net or Larry Kelly at 561 891 9405 or his email of kell7113@comcast.net. Funds are used for scholarships.

Directions: get off Donald Ross from I-95 and go west away from ocean and go about 1 or 2 miles and take left into Eastpointe. Guardhouse will give you directions or go on PGA west from I-95 for 1 mile, take right on Central for about 1 mile, left on Hood Road for about 1 mile and right into Eastpointe. Again guardhouse will give you directions.

Next annual picnic will be Saturday October 6, 2012 from 11:00 am to 4:00pm in Carlin Park by the ocean in Jupiter. Stay tuned for more details and updates as ourVols will not be playing that day so you will not miss the game. However if you don’t come, you will miss a great time and food and drink.

Adopt a Highway Program-North End Singer Island

Well we did something at the 2012 Spring Banquet that we have never done. We retired our first Adopt a Highway jersey for Richard Keller as he is moving to North Carolina. He said he will hire Brinks to take it up there so it is not stolen (lol). He has participated in this event for many years and drove from his home in the Stuart/Port St. Lucie areas. We will miss him and thank him for his loyal support as we need some more help for this great community project. Bet you have never heard of this type of retired jersey before.

We have been doing this event for 12 years. See you at the next event on October 13, 2012 for the start of our 13th year (we do not have the events in the summer due to the heat) at the south parking lot of Publix, just 100 yards south of the entrance to Duffys. Corner of US Highway 1 at PGA Blvd/A1A in Palm Beach Gardens. We get participants from far as Wellington, Boynton Beach, Palm Beach and even Stuart. Lots of fun.
